When the beautiful, sexy Kelly moves into the vacant house next door to the O’Neill family, seven-year-old Marty is angry. Until now, the big old mysterious house, was Marty’s own private playground and now he has to share it. An only child, with trouble at home, Marty needs a friend. Haunted by inner demons and pursued by an un-resolved romance Kelly wants peace. For a brief moment the lonely boy and the fragile woman find kindness and comfort in each other. But the house itself holds a dark secret. Once revealed, it will change everything. Forever.
Set in country New South Wales in 1974 Kelly’s Blues is a fast moving drama about innocence and pain, loss and forgiveness. It is strange, funny, eerie and charged with emotion.
